在大马，哮喘是其一最普遍的呼吸道疾病，而且与日俱增。近几年来，马来西亚哮喘的普遍患病率剧增，6至7岁的哮喘儿童已从6.4%增至9.4%，而13至14岁的哮喘少年也从9%增至13%。¹  基于大马的哮喘病患不断增加，哮喘管理的大众教育也更有需求，马来西亚哮喘协会（Asthma Malaysia）和阿斯利康（AstraZeneca）再次联手举办全新的舒畅呼吸（Breathe Better）醒觉运动，在满家乐的1 Mont Kiara商场，也旨在庆祝世界哮喘日。
