Unveiled ALIF Cook Oil
Sime Darby Oils company unveiled the brand new 'cooking oil' brand 'ALIF' with a more dynamic and informative look for local market consumers. The official launch of the brand's new label was unveiled by Industry Minister, Honorable Teresa Kok at the event which also featured the premiere of 'ALIF' cooking oil ad titled 'Farm to Kitchen'. Through the 'Farm-to-table' concept, Sime Darby Oils ensures that every process of 'ALIF' cooking oil is produced, from the harvesting of palm oil to the farm to the process of refining palm oil and bottling products in the factory, managed and It is well-controlled according to high standards.
According to Sime Darby Oils Managing Director Mohd Haris Mohd Arshad, 'Farm to Kitchen' is one of the identities of 'ALIF' cooking oil which symbolizes the company's assurance in ensuring that only the best cooking oil products can be enjoyed by 'ALIF' customers. “ALIF” cooking oil is made from high-quality crude palm oil that is tested to determine its quality first and then distilled to produce cooking oil. Naturally, palm oil is rich in carotenoids and Vitamin E, an antioxidant source that benefits heart health as well as reducing cholesterol levels. Palm oil itself is a cholesterol-free product and trans fats and is ideal for deep frying. All these benefits and privileges are in the 'ALIF' cooking oil, "says Mohd Haris.
Sime Darby Oils, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sime Darby Plantation Berhad, the world's largest certified sustainable palm oil producer, also assures that 'ALIF' cooking oils are fully or sustainably produced. The guarantee is confirmed by the appearance of the 'Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil' (RSPO) logo on the 'ALIF' cooking oil label. In addition, ALIF cooking oil also has halal certification from the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM).
“Awareness to ensure the environment and wildlife is constantly being nurtured in our community. The new label 'ALIF' also features the 'Dear My Palm' logo as a symbol of Sime Darby Oils' support of the government's campaign aspirations. Campaign launched by YAB Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad in March 2019 aims to increase the people's pride and appreciation of Malaysia's contribution to the country and the world while strengthening the local people's support for the Malaysian palm industry. “It is our hope that the launch of this new label will boost demand for Malaysian palm oil products. We hope the community will continue to be excited about the latest appearance of 'ALIF' cooking oil, as well as its assurance of quality and sustainability at affordable prices, ”said Mohd Haris.
In conjunction with the launch of the new label 'ALIF', Sime Darby Oils also announced the 'Fried Masterclass' Competition to be introduced by the company in the fourth quarter of 2019. The online competition offers prizes to 20 lucky winners for appearing in the 'ALIF MastaClass Fried' program with two well-known celebrities, Chef Nik Michael Imran and renowned actor and singer Alif Satar, the host of the program.
