Huawei Malaysia unveiled the HUAWEI MatePad Mini, a compact yet powerful tablet that redefines portable productivity through its “All-in-Mini concept” - bringing together performance, versatility, and immersive experiences within a highly compact form factor. Alongside the mini-tablet, Huawei also introduced the HUAWEI Watch GT Runner 2, designed around the concept of the “Aesthetic of Speed.” Combining lightweight engineering with precision tracking and advanced performance insights, the smartwatch is purpose-built to support runners with a seamless blend of form, function, and intelligent training capabilities.

Measuring at just 5.2mm thin and weighing approximately 260g, the HUAWEI MatePad Mini was designed to deliver a complete productivity experience in a compact form. Based on Huawei's human-centric research, the HUAWEI MatePad Mini was designed to have a 16:10 ratio that echoes the classic feel of a printed book, ensuring a seamless and versatile experience across work, play, and reading, in both portrait and landscape modes.

Despite its ultra-slim build, the device is reinforced with a robust internal structure incorporating aerospace-grade high-strength materials, enhancing durability and resistance against everyday wear and tear.

The 8.8-inch Flexible OLED PaperMatte Display on HUAWEI MatePad Mini delivers an immersive and comfortable viewing experience, designed to support extended usage across reading, streaming, and multitasking scenarios. It supports a P3 wide colour gamut, 1800 nits of peak brightness, ultra-high 2.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, all within a 92% screen-to-body ratio. In addition, this flexible OLED screen combines the authentic display effects of HUAWEI X-True™ Display with the revolutionary eye protection capabilities of HUAWEI PaperMatte Display to deliver an excellent visual while keeping glare at bay.

Built within Huawei’s interconnected ecosystem, the HUAWEI MatePad Mini enables seamless multi-device collaboration, allowing users to transition effortlessly between devices while maintaining productivity across workflows.

Enhanced note-taking capabilities and stylus support further elevate its versatility, making it equally suited for professional tasks such as meeting notes and document editing, as well as personal use, including content consumption and creative expression. In addition, the HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro, available as part of the free gifts bundle, offers advanced features like enhanced handwriting interaction, a unique Star Ring button for quick app launch, and new pinch and rotation gestures to make stylus use more convenient.

The HUAWEI MatePad Mini also features a powerful 50MP main camera and 32MP front camera for exceptional image quality, coupled with a 6400mAh battery capacity and 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge capability.

Customers can purchase the HUAWEI MatePad Mini at RM2,199, and those who pre-order will receive complimentary gifts worth up to RM2,014. This includes an early bird voucher worth RM200, HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro, HUAWEI Folio Cover, PC Level WPS 3.0, 3 Years 1 Time Free Battery Replacement, 1-Year 2 Times Free PaperMatte Display Care and a 1-Year Free APAC Warranty. Pre-order can be placed via any HUAWEI Experience Stores, the HUAWEI Official Website, HUAWEI Official Store on Shopee, HUAWEI Flagship Store on Lazada, and the HUAWEI Official TikTok Shop.

The HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 is engineered to elevate running performance through precision tracking, intelligent insights, and a lightweight design tailored for speed and endurance.

The smartwatch introduces Huawei’s most advanced and multi-system GNSS support, delivering highly accurate tracking even in complex environments such as dense urban areas or forest trails. It also introduces a revolutionary 3D floating antenna, integrating a metal middle frame, dielectric bezel, and titanium bezel. This synergy optimises energy efficiency, enhances signal reception, and ensures consistent performance even in challenging environments such as urban high-rises, tunnels, shaded trails, or overpasses.
This is further enhanced by the intelligent X-DR positioning algorithm, ensuring continuous route tracking and reliable data even when signal disruptions occur.
A key highlight of the WATCH GT Runner 2 is its Intelligent Marathon Mode, developed in collaboration with dsm-firmenich Running Team, including Eliud Kipchoge, which delivers end-to-end support for runners from personalised training plans and pre-race preparation to real-time pacing guidance and detailed post-run performance analysis. For everyday runners, this translates into a more guided and personalised training experience. For example, a user preparing for a marathon can use the HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 to track their endurance levels, monitor pacing in real-time, and receive adaptive recommendations based on their performance. During runs, the watch provides live feedback to help maintain optimal pace, while post-run highlights areas for improvement, allowing you to train smarter and progress safely over time.
Designed to enable more precise, data-driven training, the smartwatch offers a comprehensive suite of professional metrics, including running power analysis, lactate threshold detection, and the Running Ability Index. These features, combined with highly accurate heart rate monitoring, provide deeper insights into performance and recovery.

In addition to its performance capabilities, the HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 is crafted from aerospace-grade titanium alloy and features an ultra-lightweight design at just 34.5 grams. It is also built with enhanced durability, offering a robust casing and water-resistant construction that protects against sweat, rain, and everyday impact, making it a reliable companion across various running conditions.

Beyond fitness, the device also functions as a versatile everyday companion, offering over 100 sports modes, including advanced sports such as golf or trail running and extended battery life of up to 14 days.

Consumers can also purchase the HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2, retailing at RM1,499, via any HUAWEI Experience Stores, the HUAWEI Official Website, HUAWEI Official Store on Shopee, HUAWEI Flagship Store on Lazada, as well as the HUAWEI Official TikTok Shop, and enjoy comprehensive health and fitness monitoring features.
